IPADE Business School recently hosted the first in-person meeting of its International Advisory Board, a distinguished group of twenty leaders from different countries and industries – whose purpose is to enrich IPADE’s mission of: forming leaders with a global vision, social responsibility, and Christian values, capable of transforming organizations and society.
Over two days of work, September 8 and 9, board members from Mexico, Brazil, the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Switzerland, and Germany gathered at IPADE’s Mexico City campus to discuss the main challenges facing top management and the role of IPADE in the future of executive education. Representing sectors such as healthcare, fintech, real estate, academia, financial and banking services, retail, agribusiness, clean energy, technology, automotive, and entertainment, offering a broad and diverse perspective.
A BOARD TO STRENGTHEN GLOBAL PROJECTION
The International Advisory Board has three main objectives:
- To help IPADE remain innovative through the discussion and exchange of ideas for the betterment of society.
- To strengthen global ties, supporting and endorsing the school’s leadership development network.
- To ensure the relevance and continuous renewal of IPADE’s academic programs.
The participation of board members with diverse perspectives reinforces IPADE’s conviction that dialogue with international leaders is essential to respond to the challenges faced by business and society in a rapidly changing world.
A STRATEGIC AGENDA TOWARD THE FUTURE
The meeting began on September 8 with welcome remarks from Lorenzo Fernández, Dean of IPADE, followed by the keynote lecture “Digital Transformation and AI in Mexico” by Juan Pablo Llamas, Data & AI Mexico Lead at Accenture.
On September 9, the sessions focused on the strategic priorities and challenges facing IPADEtoward 2030, with contributions from faculty members:
- “The Future of Business Education” – Professor Gabriela Alvarado.
- “Strategic Priorities 2025-2030 and IPADE’s Challenges” – Professor Juan Romero.
- “Strategic Priority: Innovation” – Professor Francisco Arenas.
- “Trends and Challenges in Internationalization” – Professor Gabriela Alvarado.
- “Strategic Recommendations & Closing Remarks” – Professor Julián Sánchez.
The gathering concluded with a cultural visit and a closing dinner at the National Museum of Anthropology – a symbolic venue to celebrate Mexico’s cultural richness and the global character of the Board.
